I Iove everything! We got sick of cheaper washing machines with digital displays from big box stores that were constantly breaking down, and no qualified repairmen within 100 miles. We went to our local appliance shop, looking for a simple washer, nothing digital, with local certified repairmen. I knew that would be a speed queen. Features: deep fill option that actually fills with water over a foot deep,the drum moves while the agitator goes back and forth, so my husband's work clothes actually smell clean for the first time ever, it doesn't shut off when slightly unbalanced and will complete every cycle, even if unbalanced, it's quiet, and even the heavy duty cycle with an extra rinse finishes in less than one hour! Let's not forget about the 5 year warranty, which is unheard of with other brands. This simple machine wasn't cheap, but I firmly believe that you get what you pay for with large appliances The only con is that all speed queens come with a 3.2 capacity drum. but our clothes are clean and nothing gets ruined in the process, and that's what counts! After years of cheaply made washers breaking down after 2-3 years, I will stick with Speed Queen.

Everyone told me I would love a speed queen washer and we wouldn't believe how good it would do getting the guys grubby jeans dirty. I can run a load of just 2 or 3 pairs of jeans and you can still feel the dirt and grit in the jeans when they come out of the washer. Plus the guy told me when I purchased the one I had purchased that it would run water into the machine with the lid open and it does not! It does go fast through a cycle, but what good does that do when it doesn't get stuff clean? Not happy with it at all. Could have spent less than half and just gotten another washer like I had that did get the jeans clean. Very disappointing. Price is way too high for a junk product

I think I like my new washing machine of 1 month but after 1 week's use, I learned that it was creating small puddles of water(?) sometime during the cycle. Neither the water hoses nor the drain hose shows any sign of leaking. I called Alliance and was told I was using too much detergent even though I use about half of what the detergent bottle recommends. I do not use pods. My wash loads are by no means large so I do not think it is overloaded. I have started putting a piece of white paper under my washer and check it after each load to see if it is wet. About half the time it is. My neighbor purchased a Speed Queen washer a year ago and has never had this happen. I am waiting for a service person to come check things out. Aside from this problem, I do believe the washer does a good job washing , rinsing and spinning my clothes. I hope we can find the reason for this leak, repair it or replace my machine. This is not what I expected from a Speed Queen washer. I paid too much to have a problem of any kind.

I have now been using this machine for 1 year. Pro: Large tub for big loads. Con: No small load water level. Only 2 levels, regular and deep fill. Pro: The only washer on the market that doesn't have a lid lock. Can open lid to add clothes after soap dissolved in water before cycle starts. Con: Water doesn't continue running when lid is open before cycle starts. Seems adequate even with these cons. I would recommend as long as friend understand limitations.

We tried Maytag and Whirlpool Commercial and they barley lasted a year. The Speed Queen's have lasted a minimum of 7 year with minimal repairs. They are used 7 days a week 365 days a year and are well worth the $. I would never buy any other brand.

Love the agitator! The machine works great with no fuss. I had other washers from other brands (impeller and agitator) and they all made knocking noises when spinning. This machine does not do that and it takes everything I put into it. The only negatives is the tub is small and there is no way to adjust the water level for small loads.

Works like old school washers

This washer washes gently but does a much satisfactory job compared to other washers on the market today. It has a variety of washing options and two washing/spin speeds, however; it only has two water level options. It either fills up almost to the top for a deep fill or it fills up to about 2/3 full. When the extra rinse feature is chosen during the wash cycle, the machine will disperse the fabric softener during the first rinse, so by the time the second rinse takes place, the fabric softener will rinse out completely, defeating the whole purpose of adding fabric softener. If I want to use softener, I use a one-rinse cycle, then, when that cycle is done, I run it through the extra rinse and extra spin options. The washer leaves the clothes very clean because it uses enough water to cover them - unlike many of today's washers. The no-lid-lock feature is a welcome feature, because I can add forgotten laundry at the last minute, add laundry additives, test the water temperature, or check to see if the clothes are evenly distributed. I like to fill it a little with water before adding my laundry products, then add the clothes once the products are mixed into the water.

This is my second purchase of this washer. Totally loved the first one but when it went bad decided to purchase again. After a couple of weeks it made a terrible noise when aggitating. Repairman came out weeks ago and said it did not get the correct amount of lubricant at the factory. He had to order a part and lubricant and that was weeks ago. I called the service line last week and they said they would check.....no answer a week later. Totally disappointed. I should be given a new washer as I thought the excessive price warranted a working washing machine for years to come. What do you have to say for Speed Queen now? I'd love to hear from you.

We purchased our Speed Queen washer as our first major appliance investment well over $1,000. In the past, we've owned Maytag and GE machines and were quite satisfied. However, we chose Speed Queen based on its strong reputation for durability and rugged performance-knowing we'd be giving up some modern technology and digital conveniences in exchange for long-term reliability. Unfortunately, just 30 days in, the washer began making a loud rubbing noise during the agitation cycle. We reached out to Speed Queen through their website but received only one email and no follow-up, despite multiple attempts via chat and phone. Eventually, we turned to the local hardware store where we purchased it, and thankfully, they were helpful and sent a service representative to inspect the machine. Now, three months in, we're still waiting on a replacement part, and our washer remains loud and concerning. This has not been the ideal start for a first-time Speed Queen customer. We're still hopeful that, once repaired, the machine will live up to its reputation and serve us well for the next decade-but this rough beginning has certainly tested our confidence.

I can put more clothes in the washer and they will come out even cleaner than the washer I have had. My clothes smell clean but I don't like it not having a regular rinse. I have an extra rinse or soak and rinse.
